Production Supervisor - Second Shift

OriGen Biomedical is seeking a second shift Production Supervisor for our cleanroom production team. Second shift hours: Monday-Thursday 1:30pm to 12:00am

Job Summary:

The primary function of the Production Supervisor is to organize, train, direct and lead the Production Team to build Medical Devices on schedule, meeting established Quality Standards. They will also ensure that production works efficiently and that products and processes are in compliance with GMP requirements.  

Reports to: Production Manager

Typical Duties

  • Trains and directs clean room technicians in assembly and packaging of products in a clean room environment. Leads by following written drawings and procedures.  
  • Implements existing production procedures to produce products within specifications.
  • Responsible for achieving immediate and short-term objectives laid down by the production manager.
  • Effective leadership of production staff to perform as a team.
  • Effective Interview skills for new employee recruitment.
  • Develops, recommends and helps implement improvements to facilities, equipment, processes and products to improve safety, quality and efficiency.
  • Conducts and maintains training of new and existing employees.
  • Monitors efficiency of operations.
  • Reports at least daily to Production Manager.
  • Helps develop, update and maintain procedures and documentation for all Quality Systems/GMP/ISO/FDA.
  • Will occasionally act in both Production and Quality Assurance roles.
  • May be responsible for setup of manufacturing  systems. 
  • Will assist in production planning.
  • Ensures that materials are properly identified and that documentation is accurate to maintain product traceability at all times.
  • Correspondence with vendors, customers and governmental agencies as required.
  • Manages FIFO system and ensures that material mixups do not occur.

Job Requirements
  • Strong and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Minimum 2 years as a Supervisor
  • Ability to act as a team leader and member
  • Technical skills in interpreting drawings and written procedures
  • Standard Office Suite Computer skills 
  • Understanding of GMP and ISO requirements a plus
  • Materials management a plus
  • Experience with an ERP / MRP system a plus
Preferred Education and Experience


Bachelor's Degree and/or 3 years experience in related field.
