OriGen Bladder Holder
 |
The OriGen Bladder Holder (product code BH) is a low-profile
device intended only to support the 3/8 or 1/4 inch
silicone bladder. This device is intended for users
who wish to control the pump by transducing the pressure
in the silicone bladder. It has no electronics, and
has a very low side-profile, so it
can be mounted in a very small space. Like the
OriGen Bladder Box, the Bladder Holder is made of rugged
Delrin acetal polymer, and is made with bolted construction
for greater durability and easy repair. And it has a
clear acrylic plate in front, so the bladder can be
observed easily. |

Note that the Bladder Holder has an elongated base
plate, and can be used to support silicone bladders
with a 6 inch (150 mm), 7 inch (175mm) or 8 inch (200
mm) length. Merely move the support saddles to another
set of holes, and bolt down. No other modifications
are necessary. TO ORDER: please measure the lenght
of the silicone section of the bladder that you use
(see photo at left), and order by that length |

As you can see, eliminating the case has made this a very
low profile device. The BH is supplied with four rubber
feet, but no handle.
The back of the Bladder Holder is flat, and can be easily
adapted to any mount arrangements the user desires. Should
you wish to attach a mount, Delrin is very easy to machine,
drill or thread, and its low-profile allows it to be moved
easily and placed almost anywhere in the extracorporeal
circuit. |

Like the Bladder Box, it has saddle type supports
for holding and securing the bladder connections (see
photo at right). To use these, the empty bladder is
loosely put in place, and an O-ring strapped over the
rigid connector. The O-ring securely holds the bladder
while allowing the circuit room to flex. Mount both
the 3/8 and 1/4” bladder in the same manner. |
