OriGen Biomedical Walks to Bring Light to the Darkness of Cancer

News & Insights

This past Saturday, members of the OriGen Biomedical team joined together for Light The Night, an inspiring community event hosted by Blood Cancer United. Employees from across departments—including members of our management team—gathered at Parmer Pond in Austin to walk in unity and bring light to the darkness of cancer.

Light The Night is more than a walk—it’s a powerful evening of hope, remembrance, and connection. Participants come together to celebrate survivors, honor those still fighting, and remember loved ones lost to blood cancer. The event featured moving survivor stories and a sea of glowing lanterns symbolizing strength, resilience, and compassion within our community.

This year’s Austin event raised an incredible $420,635 to help fund life-saving research, provide free patient and family support services, and advocate for access to quality, affordable care. Every contribution helps move us closer to a future where blood cancer is no longer a life-threatening disease.

By 2040, Blood Cancer United’s initiative aims to enable people with blood cancer to gain more than one million years of life—that’s more birthdays, more graduations, and more cherished memories with family and friends.

OriGen Biomedical is proud to support this mission and stand alongside others in the fight against blood cancer. We’re grateful to our employees who participated and helped shine a light for those whose lives have been touched by cancer.

Join us next year—or at one of more than 100 Light The Night events across the U.S. and Canada—as we continue to walk together to celebrate, honor, and remember.
